I'm happy to announce all that's in store for this summer! Bellydance classes will continue through the summer months, and starting in June, the Southern NH Celtic BellyFusion workshops and master classes are back! YAY! I LOVE teaching my signature fusion. I just love sharing the dance with students, and having it accessible to all ages and walks of life. Come by and try it out if you can! Also, I'm back from baby, and back on the road again. Sometimes along with my partner violinist extraordinaire Corey Walden and the band, and occasionally my little ones too. Upcoming public performances are listed, and I'm once again available for private functions and events. The summer dates are filling up, so if you would like to add a unique Celtic or Belly dance style performance to your event, festival, or party, please be sure to contact me asap.
Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who have supported me, both past and present, and keep me able to do what I do. Love to you all!

Summer Belly Dance Session starts June 12th! - Registration now open!
Belly dance is a wonderful way to get in shape as well as express yourself, enhance your self confidence, and experience the joy of movement. Whether your goals are to just have fun or the aspiring professional, there is a place in class for everyone!
People of all levels, ages (14+), and sizes are welcome - Belly dance is for every body! No prior dance experience needed (and two left feet okay!).
Come join the fun and learn this beautiful ancient art!
Beginner Bellydance: Intro, Basics & Drills - Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:00 pm
*SUMMER SESSION (7 Weeks) - 6/12 - 8/7 2014 (NO CLASS 7/10 & 7/17!)
Registration and full attendance are encouraged, though drop ins are allowed and new students are welcome to join throughout June.
Beginner Summer Session (7 weeks) Registration Options
FULL SESSION (by start of session): $85.00
*SUMMER 2014 RAFFLE - Register early for the full session (by Thurs 6/5) and get entered to win a FREE pair of quality zills ($25 value)! Drawing will be held at the end of the first class on June 12th.
PAYMENT PLAN: Two installments -
Payment 1 ($55) due before or on 6/12
Payment 2 ($40) due before or on 7/24
DROP INS: $15/Class (Closed to new students after June, last class -8/7- drop ins only if had fairly regular attendance). Cash or check only.

INTRO TO CELTIC BELLYFUSION WORKSHOP
with LIVE MUSIC by Corey Walden
Saturday, June 21, 2014
10:30 am - 12 Noon
In this workshop, dancers will be introduced to Ankara Rose’s signature dance style.We will start with basic beginner technique, history, and drills in Belly dance, Irish Step, and Scottish Highland dancing. With respect for each individual dance form’s history and unique beauty, we will then apply these techniques into short combinations to practice dancing in what is Celtic BellyFusion. Come prepared to learn something new and have a blast!
*This workshop is an Intro level workshop. Perfect for brand new beginners (current dancers or not) to the style. This is where everyone starts, regardless of experience. No prior dance is experience necessary; open to teens and adults of all ages, dance levels, genders, and levels of fitness. I offer low-impact variations of moves for those worried about high intensity in the Celtic dance forms.
I aim to make this dance accessible for all. Basically, Everyone is welcome! :0)
~ Please leave your fear at the door, and just have a good time ~

SUMMER MASTER CLASSES: CELTIC BELLYFUSION for Bellydancers
Saturday, July 26 & August 23, 2014
10:30 am - 12 Noon
These monthly Master Classes are for belly dancers (Beginner - Pro) with no prior Irish Step or Scottish Highland dance experience (though open to all Celtic dance levels who wish to learn the fusion style & combos/choreography). We will begin by covering basic technique and history in Scottish Highland and Irish Step dance. With an understanding and respect for each dance form’s individual place and beauty, we will then focus on a fusion of these dance forms along with Middle Eastern (Belly) dance into what is Celtic BellyFusion. Classes will gradually build and differ through the series. All students need to attend at least one intro workshop before joining the master classes (The Summer series Intro workshop is Saturday June 21st - see above for more info). Proper exercises will be covered for injury prevention, and practice outside of class will be expected. Please bring a water bottle!
Open to teens & adults of all levels, genders, fitness levels and sizes!

Corey Walden from the international touring Celtic band The American Rogues offers professional and quality violin instruction in the Southern NH area. Ask any of his students – he is THE BEST in the area! Corey has taught classical Suzuki Violin & Celtic fiddle for the past 13+ years from ages pre-school - adult as part of the Oakville Suzuki Association in Oakville, Ontario Canada. He now lives in NH and teaches private lessons and group classes at Indie Music in Milford NH while still touring internationally and performing as a professional musician.
